About me

I first came into contact with Iyengar Yoga as a child through Light On Yoga and then again at the Iyengar Yoga Institute Maida Vale in the early 2000s. I qualified to teach after completing the Introductory Teacher Training at IYMV. I continued to train at higher levels of teaching and I am currently preparing my next level of the new teaching syllabus.

I teach group and 1:1 Beginners, General and Gentle classes (in person and online) as well as pregnancy and post-natal classes upon consultation. I have extensive experience assisting in specialist MS and therapy classes.  I have also taught specialist Children and Teenagers' classes on a regular basis and have a special interest in the tailoring of Yoga practice to women's needs.

I have a strong interest in the therapeutic aspects of Yoga and the practical application of Yoga philosophy in daily life.

I studied directly with the Iyengar family in Pune, India on several occasions, and continue to attend weekly classes and specialist workshops with senior teachers. I am a teacher member of the Iyengar Yoga Association, U.K. ( IYA U.K.) and the South West London and Surrey Iyengar Yoga Association (SWLIY)  I have served  as Chair of the Board of Trustees at the Iyengar yoga Institute Maida Vale.

I am a registered Level 2 Mentor and find great joy in sharing my Iyengar Yoga experience.
